EARTHQUAKE WARNING August 16, 2010 Posted by EQF

Data analyses indicate that there is a roughly 50% chance that there will be some significant seismic activity during the time window August 16 to 19, 2010. If the expected earthquake does not occur by around August 23, 2010 then it might occur on a future date that is multiples of 7 days from August 16, 2010.

What is believed to have been an unusually strong electromagnetic energy field type earthquake warning signal (EM Signal) was detected at the following time:

Other strong EM Signals have also been detected lately including ones at the following times:

2010/08/15 01:00:00 UTC
2010/07/31 09:55:00 UTC

An unusually large number of low intensity EM Signals have also been detected during the past few weeks.

Other professional or amateur earthquake forecasters are reporting that they are seeing strong signs of an approaching earthquake. Those people include one of my colleagues in Haiti who began detecting strong signals about three weeks ago. Efforts are underway to determine where this expected earthquake might occur.

Shown below are my latest earthquake forecasting Chart and Map. Both will probably be updated within a day or so. And the Chart and Map will automatically change. Any additional information will be posted in responses to this first posting as the data are processed.

When there are strong peaks at some longitude on a recent Time Window line on the Chart and no line peaks at that longitude on earlier Time Window lines then that can mean that some seismic activity is approaching for a fault zone somewhere along that longitude. And on the first Chart displayed on August 16 there are quite a few line peaks making determining a location for the expected earthquake a little difficult. The next update for the Chart will hopefully be clearer.
