It would be unproductive to even get started on a discussion of accuracy for my forecasts. The latest update of the Etdprog.exe is scheduled to be made available for freeware downloads etc. as soon as I can get a block of time free to get it organized with all of its support files etc. such as the “help” files that explain all of the new options. Once it is available, in addition to being a forecasting program it will be a program that can be used for advanced earthquake triggering research.

At the moment I am working with another earthquake researcher on an important project that is just about done, in addition to circulating information regarding this latest Earthquake Warning. And when I have a few minutes free I am also talking with people in both the Perl and Gnuplot Newsgroups about the possibility of compiling a version of Gnuplot that can function as a module that can be linked with Perl programs.

Perl is a powerful and extremely versatile programming language in my opinion. One person referred to it as the “Duct tape of the Internet.” But Perl can’t draw plots (in my opnion). Gnuplot can. And the presently available Perl modules that link Perl and Gnuplot are largely bridge programs from what I can tell. They transfer information between the two programs. Having a version of Gnuplot as a Perl linkable module would probably work much better. Both Perl and Gnuplot are apparently written in a C language, probably C++. So this should be possible.
