Maybe Roger could do a search of this. Another problem is the lack of 6 mags in the southern part of the state. I did a study on the San Jacinto, and the average hiatus is about 9 years for 6 mags on that fault zone. I think we are at about 20 years now, given the last 6 mags were Elmore and Superstition 6.6 Mw in 1987. I like your question. Does a lack of 5 mags indicate a larger quake?
