You say, "There is no doubt earthquakes can be predicted."

Such a claim separates you from the people who are familiar with what is known about earthquakes. I've never heard the claim from someone who knew much about physics and mechanics.

I think current research is on track, and sense no vast hidden conspiracy confounding it, it is just that the problem is tough, and even perhaps not solvable.
