Hi Petra. You and I know of a few people who have tired to break the spell. We have a mutual friend who was censured because he went public.

As you have told me in the past. No one is going to put his career on the line when they know they could very easily find themselves out of a job. I’m sure you have heard of the “Golden Rule.” Here is what it really means. He who has the gold makes the rules. He who wants a part of that gold follows those rules. Of course you will always have a maverick in the crowd somewhere. He/she will be the one who will no longer follow those rules and they will resign their commission.

As to getting 12 right and 12 wrong can you answer me this. Will the next prediction be right, or will it be wrong? How many wrongs will the public except before they no longer listen to what they feel may be a false alarm?

Your right about learning from what you have done right, but you can also learn from what you have done wrong. Most animals learn that way. Of course even in that there are exceptions by the name of Blackie who still hasn’t learned not to jump on the back of the chair.

Yes, they are actively seeking earthquake prediction in Japan, but to date not one prediction has been made. Why haven’t they made a prediction? Maybe it’s because they feel they are not ready. Maybe it is as you have said. Maybe there are those in the background who are quietly taking in the data that is needed to make those accurate predictions. They are preparing the road ahead for the day when earthquake prediction will become reality. Until then I think it would be prudent to prepare for the next major quake. It could be just around the corner, or in your case in your front yard.

Your web site is what is needed for now. When you get it translated to Spanish you will be reaching that many more people. I will have to admit I would have never thought about the translation bit. Good idea. Take Care…Cowboy
