This was all over the local news here yesterday, interesting that the media is interested in the story. However, I was curious to know how they claim that thousands in the LA area could be killed. I ask this because the epicenter of such a quake wouldn't be that much closer to the greater LA area than Landers, Big Bear and Hector Mine were, right? Or am I wrong? We've had 3 large quakes in last 15 years out there so we have an idea of how the LA area shakes when they are that big and that far out. So therefore we could expect similar, maybe slightly more intense shaking w/ an event on the San Andreas?
