1) Input starting year

2) Input Ending year

3) Input window size in days

4) Input quake filename

Program calculates total number of days in the time span, divides it up into howevermany consecutive windows, then checks to see which of those windows have quakes in them.

So in 28 years (1973-2000) you have 10227 days.
For an 8 day window that's 1278+ windows, out of which maybe 382 have 1 or more quakes in them.

382/1279 = 29.86% which is the probability that an 8 day window chosen at random will contain at least 1 quake.

This is the observed probability for the dataset you are using, so if all of the windows have quakes the probability is 100.0% and the prediction is not significant even if true.

It expects a NEIC compressed format file as input.
I can add any features you wish but I don't do Windows!

And yes, I will do the 3 hits and get back to you.

Roger
