I think were almost doing the same thing, but I'm not sure why you are assigning hits to specific windows. It's just a simple hits/windows as I see it. What is a "Hit Window"? How do you determine where the hit windows fall within the historical time frame? I think I see what you are getting at. Are you trying to lessen the effects of clustering?
