Hi Chris. Hindsight is always 20/20. I’m fairly sure that had the people known that the hurricane was going to be this bad they would have left. There are an awful lot of wrecked cars there. That tells me that some chose not to leave.

My neighbor told me yesterday she had talked to her daughter Saturday and they elected not to go to the shelter. They were going to ride out the storm at home. Her daughter and son in law lived in Gulfport, Mississippi. Yesterday she saw the area where they lived on the news. There was nothing left. Today she learned that her daughter, son in law and grandson are dead. She wanted to know why they didn’t go to the shelter. They had the chance, but they didn’t go.

Hindsight is always 20/20. After one sees what happens you can always make the right decisions. The proper thing that should have been done was never to have built there in the first place. A lady said yesterday her home survived the 1969 hurricane. This time no home in her area survived. When asked if she was going to build there again she said yes. It is her home and she will die there. Hindsight is always 20/20. If we could live our lives that way there would be no New Orleans, Kobe’s, Northridge’s, Loma Prieta’s and many other tragedies. Hindsight is always 20/20 however it isn’t reality. Take Care…Don in creepy town
