Hi Chris. The figure 600,000 people still need to be evacuated has been tossed out just for the city of New Orleans alone. A bus can carry on average 60 people. That means you would need at least 10,000 buses. Where do you think they are going to get those buses in that short of time? How are you going to get them in to where the people need them? It has been said they should evacuate the people using helicopters. There aren’t enough helicopters in the US to do that.

It could be a case of to little to late. It could also be a case of being completely and totally overwhelmed. There is just so much anyone can do in any given time frame and location. In the past the Government has stated time an time again that the people should be prepared to be on their own fore at least 3 days. From what I have seen 5 days is a more realistic time. With all due respect I think you are allowing your emotions to control your thinking and not your brain. Take Care…Don in creepy town
