Re: EQF's prediction program

As the saying goes Don, “You can lead a horse to water. But you can’t make him drink.”

I don’t sell earthquake forecasts. And I am not on a glory trip with this effort any more than I was with the efforts I made last year to get the U.S. to get some technology developed to slow the rapid spread of those highly destructive e-mail born computer viruses. These are efforts which are intended to save lives.

As I said to another board poster, if you want to talk yourself into believing that my program does not work then considering the fact that you live in earthquake country, the person who is likely to suffer the consequences if you are wrong is you, not me. Also, I am moving the technology along as rapidly as I can. There are certain precautions that need to be taken. In my opinion it is not wise to simply blurt out earthquake predictions which are likely to get people upset. Negative government reactions to the many careless forecasts like that in the past are probably one of the main problems holding back present forecasting efforts.
