Hi Kiddo. Don’t look now, but it looks like you got your “no big deal.” The duration of your eartone makes it 259 +- 37 miles from your area. The quake in fact is 249 miles from your area. The 10-mile difference is well within your radius. What makes this interesting is that the 1922 and 1934 M>6.0+ quakes are also inside the radius.

Taking the radius down to 18.5 miles to eliminate quakes from the Parkfield area there have been 18 quakes above M>3.0 since 1932. The strongest in the area was an M>4.3 on 04/25/1992. There was an M>4.0 on 05/21/1940. Your window doesn’t expire until 01/18/2004 so it should be interesting to see if a larger one will occur.

There were 8 foreshocks recorded before the 08/06/1934 M>6.0 quake in Parkfield. As you can see they were all in the area of the main event. Not sure if this is corrected data, or original data. Take Care…Don in creepy town
