Thanks. I was not aware that such a relationship existed. Nature is interesting with regard to how some phenomena like that can be represented with math terms. Now I am going to have to try to take that a step further and think through the connection with the magnitude scale. I know that magnitudes are not linear. If I remember correctly, a 6 magnitude earthquake for example represents something like 35 times as much energy as a 5 magnitude one. Also, such information exchanges are what the EarthWaves board was originally intended for in my opinion. It is too bad there have been so many heated disucssions here over the years.
