X11 flare-just now

We just had the largest solar flare as measured by X-rays in a long time-maybe in years. I don't know how unusual this is this far down the declining part of the 11 year cycle. Sorry to start a new thread on this, but it is a new flare. I have not seen any "unusual" quake activity on the california map or on the global NEIC page, but the global page is not up to date yet for the last few days. However, over the last 2 or 3 years I have very much lost faith in there being a strong link between either flares or magnetic storms and earthquakes, although:
I have to reread Lowell's thesis on this
and, there may be the occassional triggered event.
