The protons have arrived already from the flare-and the flux is rather high-higher than the other day. Does anyone know the effect of protons on the earth? Time to get under shielding in the space station? Not a good day for transartic plane flights?. Canie said that Lowell posted that these events suppress earthquakes. I recall those posts, but I thought the reasons a little too complicated. Like any correlation, I'd like to see this demonstrated-maybe Lowell demonstrated this already, but independent verification is always good. Chris
