Canie - got another note from this source this morning. The aftershock zone does
appear to be much larger than would be expected for this size earthquake. I was
also informed that as soon as the next CME strikes, careful monitoring will be
done in the area for any precursory signs of pending quakes. The source also
pointed out an interesting aspect that most of these larger recent events have
occurred on a Sunday within about a one hour time frame and often very near 27-29 minutes
after the hour. The source noted no knowledge of anything in regard to injections
or other cultural effects that hasn't been going on for the past 20 years. I'm afraid
this sequence is as much a mystery to trained seismologists as it is to the
(generally speaking) amateurs that use this board.
