One might conjecture that the Powder River Basin Blast at 18:02:53 created an energy wave which traversed the "Crack across America" fault line (if you can call it that) searching for a place to "quake".

At 20:45:41, some 2 3/4 hours later, it converged at New Madrid triggering the Mag 3.5.

Now, if so, we have us here "a problem"...==> How did the energy Increase it's energy level in propagating from A to B. If the Mag at Power River Basin was 3.1 then how did it "grow" to Mag 3.5 at New Madrid (setting aside bad measurements).

Actually this situation looks like it would be more plausible if New Madrid happened first and not the other way around...hmmm. I've got it...we'll call this theory the acausal far-field quake triggering theory...the resulting quake happens "before" the causative factor (maybe via a Dark Energy / Dark matter conduit).
