Turkey Earthquake Aftershock Related Effort plus Another Possible Accurate Forecast – November 9, 2011

As stated in earlier posts, some of my earthquake related efforts have slowed so that more time can be spent on trying to move science in general forward here in the U.S. and around the world.

Unless you were experienced with this type of work it would be difficult for you to even imagine how bad things are and how much worse they are likely to get with all of the U.S. budget cuts that are appearing on the horizon.

Along those lines, several weeks ago I had the first in a series of planned personal meetings with high level U.S. science and economic policy formulation personnel where those types of topics were and will be discussed.

Turkey Earthquake Aftershock Related Effort – November 9, 2011

The next important earthquake related effort is likely to be an attempt to get earthquake forecasters around the world, international disaster mitigation personnel, and Turkey government personnel at least informally organized so that it might be possible for people to tell when a major aftershock could be about to occur for that deadly October 23, 2011 earthquake in Turkey.

More information related to that will be posted here if and when anything along those lines gets underway.

Another Possible Accurate Forecast

The following high magnitude earthquake recently occurred. Fortunately there have not been any reports of injuries or damage.

If you check the October 29, 2011 Chart A forecast chart on my
http://www.earthquake-research.com/edg/Data.html Web page (it will probably change later today) you will see that on recent Time Window lines there were strong line peak structures around 125 E.

It is possible that those line peak structures were indicating that strong seismic activity could be headed for some fault zone along that longitude line. I have not yet specifically tried to determine if the earthquake data match any recent strong EM Signals. That might take a while as other earthquake related projects have a higher priority.
