It is quite surprising and disappointing to me that Canie allowed you to return after the comments that I believe I saw you make in at least one of your posts before you left.

There have been some arguments here since that time. But they have all been fairly mild and not damaging. Things have been pleasantly quiet. And I am quite surprised that after all of the controversy in the past, Canie did not regard that relatively quiet atmosphere as being something that she liked and wanted to continue.

My discussions with Chris have been fairly open and honest. I disagree with his opinions and comments. But he has stayed within the bounds of what I regard as reasonable personal behavior.

I don’t regard your behavior as reasonable. In the sci.geo.earthquakes Newsgroup I seem to remember that after you stopped posting notes here, you and Don who used to post here attempted to circulate information regarding what you believe is my identity to people around the world for whatever reason. And if you were accurate with that it could then have opened the door to things such as identity theft and threats of violence in both surface mail and E-mails etc. Fortunately, no one that I saw posting to that Newsgroup except Don appeared to share your interest in the effort.

That is not what I would regard as safe, reasonable behavior. And I would expect that you will now attempt to continue with that type of behavior to the maximum extent possible in this bulletin board.

As a consequence, while you are still posting here I will probably continue discussing things with Roger. But open discussions with Chris will largely have to stop. I have a major concern about the possible consequences with you around. So, people reading these posts will now be able to drift back into their state of comfortable lethargy with the popular belief that “Earthquakes can’t be predicted.”
