Just wondering if you have been to see the EQ simulator at UCSD. Looks awsome on TV, but I am planning a trip to actually see it with the kids. They simulated a 7.5 there today on a reenforced brick structure and the building held up. My interest is in the steel skeleton of the structure becuase I am now doing the weldments on components for hospitals and schools down here in So Cal. We did complete the component assignment for a new hospital in Ventura. Lots of flexture in the design engineering for the I beams. Also 60 to 70 passes on the full-pin weldments. Supposed to take an 8 mag thrust quake.
Hope we don't get tested the hard way. Yuckers.
