I haven't seen it. It would probably be entertaining to so it in action, if possible.

I doubt they're be many M7.5 thrust events in LA in our lifetimes, but these engineers think on 500-1000 yr timespans.

I would hope welds are up to the task now. My impression was that the pre-Northridge welds were the ones whose dynamic strength was in doubt.
