Good point Glen. When Berkland and I were in SoCA for the book tour, we listened to peoples' experiences who experienced the Northridge quake. As a survivor of Loma Prieta, I can tell you that the SoCA was much stronger--not in magnitude but wasn't the depth and strike different between the two quakes?
