Also, also Brian. If it's not dealing with science why in the world did the science editor focus on me at msnbc.com? I write for the layperson. Not everyone is as scientific-minded as you are. I wanted the 10 yr. old kid, 30 yr. old housewife, and retired senior couple to get it--quakes happen and maybe just maybe both animals and humans can sense 'em before they hit. If I used boring scientific jargon and didn't dumb it down for the mainstream audience, it wouldn't work.
