Also, also Brian. If it's not dealing with science why in the world did the science editor focus on me at msnbc.com? I write for the layperson. Not everyone is as scientific-minded as you are. I wanted the 10 yr. old kid, 30 yr. old housewife, and retired senior couple to get it--quakes happen and maybe just maybe both animals and humans can sense 'em before they hit. If I used boring scientific jargon and didn't dumb it down for the mainstream audience, it wouldn't work.
On the TV show in Palmdale, the segment was even less scientific. It was for real people Brian so real people can prepare just in case a quake does hit during one of Berkland's windows. You don't have to use fancy science talk to explain earth changes Brian.
