IMO, enlightening people is fine, and your book is very good for some of the "facts". It is the advocation of theories of animal prediction and tidal triggering of quakes that is harkening back to the dark ages, before people knew how to figure out cause and effect.

And checking one quake at a time, like today's, is not effective when we have records of thousands of earthquakes, and they do not to support strong tidal triggering theories.
