Earthquakes explained by Hydroplate Theory

Hi All (again):

The Hydroplate Theory offers an explanation for earthquakes (which I haven't read yet myself). I think some folks might like to read it. See it listed as an item in the list below.

The linked web-site refers to the book: (The 7th Edition of) "In the Beginning: Compelling Evidence for Creation and the Flood" by Dr. Walt Brown.

20. Would explain the origin of any of the following 25 features of the earth:

The Grand Canyon and Other Canyons
Mid-Oceanic Ridge
Continental Shelves and Slopes
Ocean Trenches (See pages 133–151.)
Seamounts and Tablemounts
Earthquakes <====================================
Magnetic Variations on the Ocean Floor
Submarine Canyons
Coal and Oil Formations
Methane Hydrates
Ice Age
Frozen Mammoths (See pages 175–204.)
Major Mountain Ranges
Overthrusts
Volcanoes and Lava
Geothermal Heat
Strata and Layered Fossils (See pages 153–165.)
Metamorphic Rock
Limestone (See pages 167–174.)
Plateaus
Salt Domes
Jigsaw Fit of the Continents
Changing Axis Tilt
Comets (See pages 205–235.)
Asteroids and Meteoroids (See pages 237–251.)

In a broad overview, pages 98–131 explain some obvious problems with evolutionists’ explanations for each of these 25 features and show how all are consequences of a global flood. (Additional page numbers above refer to chapters devoted entirely to a single feature.)

IMHO, Dr. Brown increases the work of an atheist in denying the signs and presence of an intelligent designer who transcends time (some might refer to him/her as God).

The scientific evidence more strongly (it seems supports) the idea of a young earth /solar system which supports the Biblical account of creation (which some regard as a nice fairy tale...).

The issues raised are certainly 'food for thought'.

Earthquakes as a topic is just one of hundreds addressed in the book.

Just my (and others') 2 cents worth.

p.s. (No...I don't get a dime for seemingly "pushing" this book. :)
