2 cents: You're correct that 'seems' in my post meant 'it's my impression'. A BA in history didn't qualify me to understand or challenge scientific theories. I followed your link to Dr. Brown's book, read brief excerpts, then followed its link to a Creationist site with questions and answers and read some of those relating to education. I admit bias - my college science courses were few and many years ago, but I'm acquainted with some scientists and am the widow of one. I know nothing about their professional discussions among colleagues but personally never heard a scientist say that he or she knows everything that can be learned about his or her specialty. You can decide if answers at those Creationist sites leave room for new research. I won't debate it. Mary C.
