Re: Crack across US, New Madrid, Powder River Blast Connection

I can think right off of two very interesting events which were associated with
explosions.
When the World Trade Center in New York City was bombed several years ago,
I recall people in New Jersey saying on television that it felt like an earthquake -
as much as people in New Jersey know what an earthquake feels like. Anyway,
several weeks later, an earthquake in southern New Jersey did show up in the catalogs.
It happened several hours after the Trade Center bombing and was the first in years
in that area - connection made (at least mentally).
The other case occurred on October 27, 1973. The Russians set off the most
powerful nuclear explosion ever detonated (Ms 7.2) at 7:00:00 UT on October 27 on
the Island of Novaya Zemlya. It lit up the sky all the way to southern Canada. Interestingly
the largest earthquake ever felt in modern times in Florida occurred 38 minutes earlier.
It was felt with intensity V (enough to crack plaster and cause items to fall from
shelves) in the Central Florida area near Orlando (imagine what a ruckus such an
event would occur today in that heavily populated resort area). Since 38 minutes
is about the time that a surface wave will take to get from Florida to Novaya
Zemlya, did the earthquake in Florida cause the nuclear detonation in Novaya
Zemlya, or ......
Another fascinating case, while we are on the subject is the great Alaskan earthquake
of March 28, 1964, the largest event ever recorded in North America (Mw 9.6).
A series of unusual events preceded this earthquake in a band across North
America. They looked for all the world like they were triggered earthquake, but
they occurred BEFORE the Alaska earthquake, not after. Give a whistle at these
events that preceded the Alaska earthquake on the evening of March 27, 1964 and
the morning of March 28, 1964 (U.T).
1) An intensity V felt from Van Tassel Wyoming into Nebraska and South Dakota,
so strong that some residents thought their furnaces had blown up. (Occurred 30
minutes before Alaska).
2) An intensity IV near Henderson Nevada about 3 minutes before the Alaska earthquake.
Houses moved 6 inches back and forth according to residents.
3) An intensity V at Ennis, Montana (Ml 4.3) about an hour before the Alaska quake.
Pictures were knocked off walls, well water was sullied.
4) Yellowstone National Park - a series of earthquakes began on March 27.
5) March 25 - Ml 4.5 off Coast of Northern California

Most of these areas continued to be active after the Alaska earthquake along
with a number of unusual events which were quite likely triggered. It is only
possible to discern these patterns after everything is put in U.T. though. Incidentally
published accounts of the triggered aftershocks from the Landers earthquake
also report how the active areas began to show signs of activity before the
Landers event.

The Alaska earthquake had another strange effect. At about the same time
as the Alaska earthquake a series of high linear waves appeared in the
South Indian Ocean with a distance of about 10 km between them. These
were first sighted on 27-28 March, 1964. The tsunami would not have
arrived until 29 March, so these waves are unexplained to this day.
