Message board life and what you learn from it is totally addictive. You never know what subject is on the menu each day and from so many brightly inspired participants the endless array keeps you interested.

My reporting ear tones to Don and having him keep a log of them has really helped me zero in on locations and magnitudes far better than I have been doing in more than a year. There have been some little ones around Concord of late and I've been getting hits on all of them. The other day Clayton had one and I used to live 3 miles from Clayton in Concord. So I told Don, well I think 3 miles in is within the area of Concord.

However, what he noticed the most was that when I reported no ear tones, no quakes were happening, so in reverse its still working. I'm learning to match again and it makes me feel good to start working on a skill that went rather dormant for a period of time. It says progress.

By the way, Don and I were supposed to be leaving for Mt. Lassen tomorrow, but due to my continuing severe back pain, I cannot ride in a car for more than and hour, thus we've had to cancel this adventure. On the good news side I'm changing health plan carriers and hopefully this means the tennis of medicine is over.

On the subject of the tennis of earthquakes from one side of the Pacific to the other, I see South America is taking the hits these days. I'm not sure what that means. Its been very quite on the west coast of that continent for a long time. I'm hopeful it doesn't mean the Coast of California from North to South will be taking any kind of a turn in the near future.

Lowell, you're a terrific compliment to this board and I hope you will continue to help us learn and we in turn can bring some thought provoking topics that tickle your gray cells.
