Thanks for the data. I think this is where you really shine! You can collect and disseminate information is such a short period of time.

I found it so interesting to note the connection with Mammoth, Utah and the South Central US. The latter of the two I would have never guessed. One other item that came to mind was the reverse effect of the Seattle area's quake followed of course months later by a Peruivan quake. Most likely no connection though.

But looking at California in general, other than the desert area's having large quakes, there are so many others like Western LA basin that have not had even 5.0's of late. Seems they might be more likely to have activity than the places that have been active in the last few years. Would you agree with that assessment? Or would it be that the desert area's that have been busy will again begin anew?

I'm sure in the days ahead we will learn of a death toll that is far greater than the first reports we've heard. I've seen it before in these situations where forty or fifty suddenly turns into a thousand and then thousands. Surely it must be a time of great sorrow and with the aftershocks continuing it must also create much concern for the welfare of the survivors.
