California quake removed, Mexico M7 just occurred

Maybe I'll be Island Chris when I am there, Heartland Chris when I am there, and Chris in Paradise when I am at Santa Barbara. This comes from an episode, I think, of LA Law 20 years ago, where things were going bad in LA so they drove up to SB for the weekend.

OK, the California quake is gone; did not happen, but there was just a Mexico M7.0. No focal mechanism yet but near the coast at 65 km depth, so could be in slab and be normal, or could be at top of slab between plates and be thrust.

Too many quakes, hard to focus on work.
Chris
