Re: Earthquake Research Related Web Site – October 15, 2011

Hi Chris,

First,

As I have said before, the notes that I post here are to a large extent progress reports. They provide interested parties around the world with information regarding the work that I am doing and at times information regarding other researchers’ efforts.

If you want to comment on the forecasting and earthquake triggering technology and theories that I am working with then you first need to read the reports at my Web sites. They have been written so that they should be understandable by someone who did well with high school physics. And you would obviously qualify for that.

Much of this work is probably presently 10 to 20 years more advanced than anything that any other researchers on the planet are doing.

Regarding EM Signals, I have said repeatedly that one of the best that I myself work with and ones that people can easily collect data on are the Ear Tones. These are mostly higher frequency earthquake fault zone activity related sounds, something like a case of temporary tinnitus, that perhaps 1 person in 1000 can hear.

The most common Ear Tone frequency might be around 7500 cycles per second. Other frequencies that people can “hear” might be down around 10 cycles per second.

I don’t know if anyone presently understands the actual sound generation and detection mechanism. I do know for a fact that Ear Tones can be easily generated and heard under laboratory conditions.

Second,

One of the main reasons that my forecasting and research efforts are not moving faster has to do with the fact that I provide free advice to governments, nongovernmental organizations such as the United Nations, and independent parties regarding procedures and technology that can be used to solve or at least manage problems that threaten the health and well-being of people around the world.

So, the time that I have available to work on any of these project has to be devoted to the most pressing matters. But, most of my free time has in the recent past been devoted to earthquake forecasting efforts.

In at least one past note posted here I stated that I was working on technology that might be used to improve nuclear energy plant safety. In fact I am actually working on about a half dozen nuclear energy related projects. One that I am presently attempting to collect information on has to do with the possibility of disposing of nuclear waste such as spent nuclear power plant fuel rods by using transmutation technology. Transmutation involves converting dangerous radioactive elements into harmless elements by bombarding the dangerous ones with neutrons for example.

Third,

You don’t need to lecture me on earthquakes. I have two degrees in the physical sciences though I am not a geologist.

People at the international level consider me to be an informal consultant in this area. I have made major contributions to two books on earthquake related matters. And when forecasters around the world want to determine if an earthquake might about to occur somewhere they can and do contact me for an opinion.

For example, in the past two weeks I was asked for an opinion regarding a possible especially powerful earthquake at a particular location in South America to occur around October 11. I responded that my data indicated that it was “unlikely.” And there wasn’t any earthquake.

When international news service personnel wanted to know if the baseball World Series games could be safely played in California back around 2002 if I remember correctly, they contacted me for an opinion. I checked my data and told them “Play ball.” And I believe that my information was then used in an international news report.

I doubt that they wasted any of their time by trying to contact anyone at the USGS to get an opinion regarding a possible earthquake at that time.

So, if people around the world including news services want to get some “politically correct” information for use in their news reports they can contact any number of “politically correct” scientists. They are everywhere.

On the other hand, if they feel that it is important that they get information that is actually scientifically accurate they can try contacting me.

These are personal opinions.
