Forecast Data Posted By EQF On May 5, 2011

Below is the latest Chart-A from my Data.html Web page. Remember that the chart will change as newer versions are stored on my Web page.

The line peaks at various longitudes for the different time windows indicate where my forecasting computer program has determined that the fault zones are located that are responsible for the EM Signals detected during that time window. Each time window represents about 90 days worth of EM Signals averaged together. And the windows are offset from one another about 10 days.

What the latest data appear to me to be suggesting is that a good part of the aftershock activity in the Japan area might be over. And I doubt that anyone would be surprised to hear that.

One of the most significant things to observe with that chart is that around the time that the 9 magnitude March 11, 2011 earthquake occurred in the Japan area there was a dramatic shift in the line peak structure. On the March 6 window, line peaks are starting to appear around 120W. And with the time windows after that those line peaks slowly drifted to the west. Finally, on the latest window, May 5, those 120W line peaks disappeared leaving only one major peak around 65W.

That slow line peak drift towards the west might have been indicating that after the Japan earthquake occurred, strain or stress was moving around, perhaps towards the west, in different fault zones around the world.

I don’t presently know what those 65W line peaks might be indicating. The Year Charts I am working on show that they have occurred like that in the past at different times of the year. I also don’t know what those line peaks around 180E are indicating.

The Year Chart generation part of my forecasting program has been up and running for weeks. But other matters have been keeping me busy lately. And I have not had time to store those charts on my Web site or discuss their significance.

The Year Charts show what correlation there might have been between my EM Signal data going from the present back to the beginning of 2001, and various powerful and destructive earthquakes that have occurred over the years.

Those charts have in the past shown an extraordinarily good correlation with rock layer strain or stress data being collected in Europe and Asia. And I wish that I could get permission from the groups collecting those data to show how that is the case. But, lately I have not had time to do too much communicating with other forecasting groups around the world. And that situation will probably not change until some time in June of 2011.
