THE EARTHQUAKE FORECASTING LOGJAM IS FINALLY STARTING TO SHATTER
Posted by EQF on March 31, 2011

First it was North Korea.

Now the government of East China's Jiangsu province is starting to see the light. (See the link below)

The forecasting logjam is finally starting to Shatter!!!

And, all of this is taking place now that I finally have my new bulletin board running and I am starting to tell people around the world the real reasons that their "Governments Can't Predict Earthquakes."

Isn't that just the most amazing coincidence!

It appears to me that governments around the world are finally starting to realize that the scientists who should have been providing them with helpful advice all these years regarding the science of Earthquake Forecasting have instead been in a virtual state of paralysis. And the only way to deal with that is to bypass those researchers and demand some action.

The first step that governments are now taking is asking their citizens to send reports of unusual animal behavior being observed directly to government officials for analysis. Researchers will then apparently use other means to try to determine if there might some significant seismic activity headed for that area.

A few reports about unusual activity would probably be ignored. When quite a few people are stating the same thing the reports will probably be taken seriously.

What the government officials will need to remember is that these and other earthquake precursors are still not understood all that well. They might be observed before some earthquakes and not others. And at times they can be observed and no earthquake will occur. Or it might be delayed for weeks, months, or more than a year.

But, some progress is better than no progress. And up until now, for most if not all governments around the world, “no progress” has been the politically correct policy.

And as I said before, it won’t be too long now (hopefully) before the skeptics start saying,

“We never said that earthquakes can’t be predicted. You misunderstood us. What we actually said was ......" (fill in the blank)
