Re: Might not work

"That prediction registry was just the first one that I saw and used as an example. There are others out there. I can’t see where they serve any purpose at the moment and have not bothered paying any attention to them."

Yes, I also fail to see how the existing sites serve a purpose with reghards to earthquake prediction either, so why again are we discussing them?

"People need to be able to identify trends in the data such as multiple precursors pointing the same location."

OK, I can buy into that. Can you provide me a complete list of precursors being used? What are all the possible characteristics of these precursors? For example Animals > Dogs > Golden Retriever > Behavior
> Barking/Sitting/Sleeping/Running in circles/Howling ... It all needs to be quantified so it can be analyzed in an automated fashion. Is there an official list of potential precursors out there with all the possible behaviors of these precursors? Seems that would be the place to start with an automated precursor registry. Maybe you could to that to get your idea started!

"Unfortunately, there are not that many people who can do CGI work."
The world is full of web developers, me being one. We all do CGI.

"The goal here is to try to save some lives. And if someone can get a particular approach to work then that helps."

In order to determine if an approach works, it must be scientifically valid and repeatable. This is where eqpr.org comes into play.
