Thanks for this Canie... Just to add my 2 cents on this, in the part where it says quakes will be bigger, I'm not so sure. I was under the impression that studies of the faults in the LA area suggest that they can only max out at 6.5 to 6.7. THis theory was first introduced in the mid 90s then dropped. Seems that its been picked up again. If true, the greater Los Angeles area will see a dramatic increase in the number magnitude 5 and 6 quakes...which will still be damaging, but not larger ones as this paper indicates. But that is just what I've picked up from reading over time who knows. Thanks again for sharing!
