Hi Dennis nice info thanks, If you ever come to Denver and drive out west on Alameda towards Morrison you can see the foot prints of the dinosaurs preserved on what is known as "the Hogback" it has been set up as a self guided walking tour and is very well done, yep Denver at one point was a inland sea the very top of Pikes Peak still has fossilized marine shells and tribolites. There is a story that in the late l890 s a group from back East came out here and cut out one of the dinosaur foot prints because it also had inbedded in the stone a partily exposed Folsom point which had been "stepped" upon and "squezzed" down into what at that time in space would have been a light colored whiteish sand silt Interest thing about those "footprints" they are "rippled" as in Wavy across the Pad and are a good four foot or better in "width and length?" I have seen tennis shoes with the same "ripple" soles about three miles West of this area is the start of what used to be called Igenious-Metamorphic upthrust Zone its rather mind boggling to think that the Rocky Mtns run from Canada to Mexico and the good ole North American Contintent "split" and so much "stuff" was pushed and oozed up up and was much higher in the past than it is today, Truly the Power of "jello" is not to be denied! We as temporary residents of Planet Earth think WE are so clever and smart and in "charge" of Things. What a Wake Up Call lies ahead of US! I learned a lot from the old time hard rockers in Central City and the Silverton areas, esp. they hated a "book learned Geoligist" that aint ever been in a tunnel telling us what and where to dig and blast" Rather "they" Tasted the rocks ..Really!!... smelled the air in the tunnels, which for the most part did not ventilation back then, and I got to tell you folks those old Carbide lights left a lot to be desired!! and the water on the floor is very darn cold. Some of the old "stopes" I have been in are truly awesome and "hangers" scared the hell out of me! but these guys went in and out every day. and they always left a "WEE" bit of lunch for the" Tommy Knockers" A "spirit" that warned the miners of danger or explosions, or possible collapse, Rock is solid But brittle! and does not deal well with stress esp from the "Bottom" pushing Up. Anyway just thought I would throw this out there into the "Mill" and this is Stuff" that has happened BEFORE ELECTRICTY!! And these are things I was involved in BM {before marriage} Oh Yes Arsnic and Iron Pyrite aka { Fools Gold} are a "thing" that is a fact of Nature and it aint going to go away. Iron Pyrite in the presence of water {over Time} leaches out and makes Sulphuric Acid rots, "rusts' steel rails and is still leaking out of old adits in Colo. However funny things have been found out about Heap Leaching using "spray" methods that Use Arsneic called Summitville down in SW Colo. Scorpio
