Hi all:

I too hear ear tones from time to time and - for the sake of interest - report them to my friend and colleague who is also a reader here.

But, I do have a question or two which will certainly lead to more....

If an EQ ear tone is caused by some wave mechanism generated at the site of the future EQ, then why do such a limited number of people hear them? I mean even within this group there should be enough people reporting a tone on the same day and time, right?

Also, given the terrain this wave would have to travel (over mountains, around buildings, through solid walls) how can anyone tell that the sound is coming from the corner of 1st and Main? Can anyone tell what house the garage band is playing in unless they're on your street?

The more I think of this, the more the sound seems based on perception rather than mechanics. If that is so, doesn't it put the eartone/eq relationship squarely in the realm of the psychic?
