"didn't want to see how it worked"?

I was unaware geoForecaster told state people how it worked. In fact, my impression was that they refused to say how it worked when asked.

And with their widely advertised and overstated claims of success predicting large earthquakes, to say they didn't intend to predict a large quake if it they thought it were coming is curious.
