Could be interesting, but probably not. You must realize LA is perforated with oil wells, and the industry watches them like a hawk, as they generate lots of income. Why are the Santa Clarita seeps more promising than the decades of watching hundreds of oil wells in California that has already happened? The wells watching the oil pressure at depth are more likely to see tectonic signals than seeps at the surface.
