Re: Important Question |
Antonio, You indicated that you are giving latitude and longitude readings for the benefit of the science community who may be reading this board, however, the board is a public board, meant for the average person to read and interpret. If it so happens those in the science community read these messages, that is an interesting matter. However, for the common person, not a scientist to understand your predictions, if you don't place a name with the location, chances are, they aren't going to follow your work and make any presumtions for or against to determine if you are making your hits or not. You'll lose the majority of readers, for the simple fact that you chose not to give the name of the location. If you only want scientists to read your work, find a group thats interested and send them e-mails and if they chose to follow it, then they'll know the locations you list. Think of it as a common courtesy to the average reader, cut us a little slack and provide a city name. I can't think why you would chose not to, when you already know and it would take an infintesimal amount of time to do so. If you think your predictions are 100%, then you should state so, but if you're not sure a quake is going to arrive somewhere, then your prediction truly is only 50%. The same odds as a coin toss. Thus, you should be posting what you feel is more likely a certainty, not just something that is no better than random chance. There is a real disparity in this issue and one that should be clarified, hopefully some others here can provide some useful input.
