Earthquake triggering research report is almost finished

There is a popular saying which proposes that a picture can be worth 1000 words. Many theories have been proposed regarding the likelihood that earthquakes are triggered events, and what forces might be actually triggering them.

If you would like to “see” some data regarding why high magnitude earthquakes are occurring when they occur then a report which should be ready within a few days is intended to be helpful. It is somewhat similar to the following report but contains data for the years 1990 to the present. It is designed to be easy to examine and understand and can be modified without too much trouble to include additional information:

The rather large (about 150,000 bytes) GIF data chart for the new report is largely finished. And I am now working on its text part. Plans are to store it at that Web site using the name “90-03.html.”

An announcement will probably be made when it is ready. Or, you can just check that Web address yourself some time next week.
