Hi John,

They say patience is a virtue and that could never be so true as with this current situation. We must sit and wait and let the cards fall where they may and see what develops in the end. It is useless to try and understand what we see because at present it is beyond comprehension.

I think it would be difficult for even an average geoscientist to receive information that tells them they are doing it wrong. Or to expect that person to have some kind of ongoing program which could be enhanced by what this person has to offer. But he has to go there, get his feet wet and see how it feels.

In life we are told so many times not to do something only to turn around and do the exact thing we are told not to do. So we do it and then we learn why we shouldn't have done it. Experience is by far the best teacher in life.

So, let us have patience, let our fellow board member work on his programs, market them in his own way and let him find out on his own how well he will or won't do. We cannot teach him anything because he doesn't want us to rain on his parade, so we must just let go.

One thing for sure, if he makes it big time, it will be in the papers and we will all know it has happened, with one minor proviso, that we can identify who it is. Aside from that, if nothing happens we'll know about that as well by the silence that follows.
