Re: cold facts aren't always friendly

Hi John,

The question remains unanswered unless the door to the truth is left open. Remember, innocent until proven guilty? We have before us some folks who have spent years working on a program which they believe has serious potential and are willing to risk their money, time and reputations on a possible successful endeavor. Perhaps we should try to salute them, instead of shooting them down before they have a chance to demonstrate their abilities.

Christopher Columbus told everyone the world was round, but only a woman believed him and financed his journey. From men who threw rocks at the Moon, we came full circle to seeing men walking on our satellite. If we all believe everything is impossible, we could not succeed at anything.

These men/women are not unlike the forefathers of Parkfield. Opportunity came, went, but is still a beacon of hope. No one knew when the Parkfield project began that success would be so far away. It has been, but amongst the layers of work there has been knowledge gained and for that we have to consider that though the perfect prediction has not arrived yet, does not mean that it cannot arrive.

But the element which I believe is still missing in this thread is the fact that this theory was put to use right here. It had success, even at the hands of a layman named Don in creepy town and it did work. So the existence of fact that it does work already exists right here. Are those cold facts hard to uncover?

Petra
