Geoforecaster

John, as Canie pointed out, the forecasts by Don are in the archives and can be evaluated. It is not a simple thing to evaluate, and I'm not going to do it. I think that Roger Hunter may know Lowell pretty well, at least by email, but I would judge Roger independent-he is retired USGS seismologist. He may already have an opinion of the predictions. Hang around this page for a while-there are some interesting things dicussed once in a while. Some of the correlations may be weak, but if they exist at all, then they are interesting. These are-solar or geomagnetic storm triggering, Far field aftershocks, .....-I think these ideas were originally discussed on this site by Lowell Whiteside. I'm a research scientist who publishes on active faults, but as far as earthquake prediction I am an amateur and posting on this page is a hobby. I am also an old friend of Lowell's, although he may be annoyed at me for my skepticism.

I actually think that Geoforecaster may be a good thing in that it may raise some interesting discussions.
Chris
