All one needs to do is run a correlation check (program) on this data relative to the times of say Mag. 6.5 earthquakes.

One may consider inserting various delay times into the earthquake times and then doing the correlation check...to investigate delay times from the event(s) (assuming the program used does not do this).

This study doesn't seem like a whole lot of work (providing the historical event data is readily available). It seems likely that maybe someone has already done this type of a study...(LW?)....
