Re: Geomagnetic storm plus gravitational forces

My data indicate to me that the sciences of how the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon on the Earth’s crust and solar and geomagnetic storms interact with earthquake fault zones and in the process trigger earthquakes and cause a variety of earthquake precursors including Ear Tones to be generated are so complex that it is virtually impossible to discuss them in detail. I believe that I am doing some of the most advanced work in this area. And I am looking at only a small part of the overall picture.

Two other people who appear to me to be doing advanced research in this area are:

Dr. C. Thanassoulas
http://users.otenet.gr/~thandin/

and Pavel Kalenda who posts occasional notes to this board. I do not believe that Pavel has a Web site at this time.

If you would like to get some idea of how complex the sun and moon gravity related matters are then you can try visiting my Web sites and reading the reports that I have stored there. Start with the following Web page:

Seismic Activity and Storm Data
http://www.freewebz.com/eq-forecasting/131.html

If you cannot understand the information at that site then you can try asking questions. But if you do not even make an effort to understand that information then you should probably not be asking me too many questions at this bulletin board. I am running a fully operational earthquake forecasting program. And it requires tremendous amounts of operation, maintenance, and research time. I just finished a several year effort to expand my reference database. And I am now using three direct sun and moon gravity related references, ocean tide references from the Indonesia and Los Angeles, California areas, and a Solid Earth Tide reference from the Colombia, South America area.

I believe that my data are clearly showing that the following relationships exist:

*** Forces related to the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon are involved with and are important to earthquake triggering and some earthquake precursor generation processes.

*** Solar and geomagnetic storms are involved with the generation of certain electromagnetic energy field fluctuation type earthquake precursors including some and perhaps many Ear Tones.

At this time I myself do not know enough about the interactions taking place between solar and geomagnetic storms and earthquake fault zones to be able to clearly state anything regarding how those storms might be affecting earthquake triggering processes. Other people are studying that subject matter.

If you would like to see what I feel is an especially clear example of how the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon are affecting earthquake triggering then you can take a look at the following GIF plot and also read the associated report. I believe that the circled groups of data points in that GIF plot show how earthquakes in at least some western Pacific Ocean areas are being selectively triggered when the sun and the moon are in specific positions in the sky relative to one another.

Once again, and to use a pun, this subject matter is “astronomically” complex. I cannot answer many of the questions associated with it. I will also add that I feel that earthquake forecasting procedures which have been developed by and are being used by other researchers are probably quite valuable. And in my correspondence with researchers and government officials around the world I often advise them to develop some of those procedures such as Shan’s sun shadow based procedure for use in predicting their own earthquakes. So far, none have appeared to me to express any interest in doing that.

These are my personal opinions.
