I have to admit, Petra that I thought you were being a bit overconfident after your
initial success with the Aptos earthquake several days ago. If it were me, I would
have taken the kudos and run. But your intuition convinced you that the Aptos
event was not the end of the story. The Ml 3.3 (and this time with aftershocks,
perhaps as far away as Milpitas) near Saratoga CA this morning seems to confirm
the idea that something may be brewing in that neck of the San Andreas. Not in
the magnitude range you had envisioned, but the Ml 3.1 was certainly a foreshock
to this event (foreshock is defined as a smaller local event before a larger mainshock).
Congrats again. Do you think this is it - or is this all building to something more still?
