I agree with you that the rupture didn't extend north as far as Saratoga. But (and please correct me if i'm mistaken), I believe the aftershock sequence did include earthquakes that far away.

A lot of aftershocks actually seem to travel perpendicular to the fault that saw the rupture (or would that be rapture?), so I'd be interested in your opinion, or anyone else's.
