Oh absolutely, it's the heart of science.

Interesting situation. I've been testing random dates against quake dates and what I'm finding is that the random dates are correct more often than chance.

Sometimes above, sometimes below but there's a consistent 60/40 ratio overall so something's wrong. This is on up to 100,000 trials of 2100 days each with a 3 day window and 6+ quakes.

My guess is that the odds are incorrect but how or why escapes me so far.
