I agree with what you are saying. My complaint relates more to the idea that date predictions are in themselves valuable.

Yes, if someone was predicting dates much better than chance it would mean something but that's all. It would not be useful to know when if you didn't know where.

My complaint with Amit is that he presents himself as a predictor but cannot even get dates better than chance.

What this latest test shows is the degree of uncertainty in the statistics but that just means that I'm right in insisting on a very high degree of significance.

EQF is even worse. He makes claims without even trying to show statistical backing.
